Homeopathic practitioners believe that a medicine can cure a patient, is capable of causing a similar disease in a person who is healthy. Most homeopaths give as an example the use of a small dose of red onion, which typically causes a runny nose and itchy eyes, to treat a cold, because it carries the same symptoms.

It is very difficult for most people to understand homeopathy, however, the trend toward this type of medicine continues to grow in the U.S. because some patients are confused with some forms of traditional medicine and are seeking more natural ways to treat their afflictions.

In fact, homeopathy uses only natural remedies, specifically, ultra-diluted doses of substances such as plants, minerals, and a variety of other substances found in nature. The original substance is diluted in water several times and shaken vigorously after each dilution. As a result, the patient receives only very small quantities, which makes this type of treatment very safe.

Homeopaths also believe that you should not treat disease, but rather to the person who is ill. In other words, the homeopath believes that the substance he or she provides the patient is not going to destroy a cancerous tumor directly, but allow your body to destroy the tumor.

Homeopathy has been used traditionally to treat chronic problems such as asthma or arthritis, although some cancer centers promote homeopathy as complementary therapy in cancer patients are treated by traditional therapies.

Some advocates of this type of medicine also believe that homeopathic remedies can cure cancer, but there is currently no scientific evidence to support these claims.

However, many cancer patients, including those who fight against malignant mesothelioma, have turned to homeopathy because it is natural fact and do not involve prescription drugs in their system and treatment of these side effects. Most professionals have seen some evidence that homeopathic substances may help reduce the pain associated not only with cancer but which is caused by treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation of mesothelioma. Others use it to treat the debilitating effects of other conventional therapies, including infection caused by reduced white blood cells, hair loss, nausea and vomiting, mouth sores, and weakness or fatigue.

Some cancer patients mesothelioma cite the fact that they have uncompensated general well-being when taking homeopathic remedies, even though these resources have no signs of curing your cancer. This is indicative of the strong mind-body connection promoted by homeopathic physicians. Many patients note in particular the disappearance or reduction of stress and depression that comes with a cancer diagnosis, thus, some homeopathic remedies are used in patients with end-stage cancer, in particular, with the aim of reducing the fear and anxiety often associated with death.

While there is no cure for mesothelioma, proponents of this type of medicine also believe that homeopathy has the ability to prevent disease.

Reiki, as we know, is a Japanese term that means “life energy.” Reiki promotes the belief that spiritual energy can be channeled through a professionally trained teacher of Reiki to heal the spirit of a patient.

With its roots in ancient Tibet, Reiki is said to have been rediscovered in 1914 by a Buddhist monk who conceived the Usui system, which was later introduced to the West in the 1930s. This system is still taught nowadays.

Basically, Reiki embraces the concept of universal energy, like many other Eastern healing arts. Reiki enthusiasts believe that a teacher trained or tuned to the forms of technology can “give Reiki to self or others, therefore it promotes a sense of healing and deep relaxation.

Increasingly, cancer patients, including patients with mesothelioma, are giving an opportunity for Reiki. According to experts said the treatment of cancer, including the various organizations like the American Cancer Society.

Oncologists recommend treatment for pain relief, to speed recovery after surgery, and to reduce the side effects of certain medications, including chemotherapy.

Hospitals are Reiki practitioners including medical staff. For example, the Cancer Treatment Center of America, known for its holistic approach to cancer care, Reiki therapy offers its facilities as well as many other specialized clinics in the medical treatment to the mesothelioma.

Cancer mesothelioma, which is divided into three according to the area infected by each of these, it is usually caused by inhaling asbestos particles in the workplace. The three types are pleural mesothelioma (the mesothelium surrounding the influence of lung cavities), peritoneal (found in the lining of the abdomen) and pericardial (which attacks the heart chambers). The first attacks the lining of the lungs, also known asbestos lung cancer mesothelioma, affecting the lungs and sinuses caused by asbestos.

The pleural mesothelioma is definitely a life threatening illness. Also possible that the infection spreads to the lungs in length and should be eliminated. While asbestos fibers settle in the pleural lining. That leads to certain harmful chemical reactions resulting from cell division. Pleural effusion and thickening of the layer is simple obstruction of movement of the lungs, causing breathing difficulties. The infection can last for years and decades to reach this advanced stage.

Diagnosing mesothelioma is not easy, especially if the doctor treating the case is not an efficient person. Many of the symptoms of this act of cancer as the symptoms of other diseases such as pneumonia. Sometimes mesothelioma cases are detected when the patient for some other treatments. A medical expert would not hesitate to work and the patient’s health history before proceeding to other tests.

There are many symptoms of mesothelioma asbestos lung cancer. They are shortness of breath, fatigue, chronic cough, weight loss, night sweats, fever, etc, in some patients, only a few signs would be visible. However, some others are free of symptoms. This has often led to great confusion in diagnosis. Error detection and false detection are equally harmful.

The most common symptoms of lung cancer mesothelioma asbestos is shortness of breath, chronic cough, fatigue with minimal effort, weight loss without reasonable to assume, fever, night sweats, etc., some patients may show only two or three of them while some others are completely free of symptoms were persistent. The nature of cancer has often led to misdiagnosis or undetectable ultimately confuses the situation.

If the infection is only in the initial stage, the physicians preferred conventional treatments such as surgery. If necessary, additional therapies, such as the spread of cancer chemotherapy and anticipate additional radiation to remove all traces of cancer through high-energy particles or rays also used.

As Mesothelioma lawyers continue to prove the correlation between diseases of customers and pollution caused by asbestos, lawmakers struggle to pass a law to provide sufficient compensation for all victims who work in mining plants and all residents of neighborhoods that were exposed to toxic chemicals.

Mesothelioma is a rare type of cancer that develops in the mesothelial cells lining various organs and body cavities. The mesotelium (composed of mesothelial cells) is the membrane that lines three body cavities, and depending on the cavity that is lined is assigned a specific name: the thoracic cavity (pleura), abdominal cavity (peritoneum), and bag the heart (pericardium).

The mesothelium that covers the internal organs is called visceral mesothelium, while the coating on the body wall is called the parietal mesothelium.

The mesotelium tissue also surrounds the male internal reproductive organs and covers the internal reproductive organs in women.

Mesothelioma is an aggressive cancer of the mesothelium, in which cells of the mesothelium become abnormal and divide uncontrollably. They can invade and damage tissues and organs. Most cases of mesothelioma arises from the thoracic cavity (pleura) or the abdominal cavity (peritoneum)

Approximately 2000-3000 cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed each year in the United States, covering about 3 percent of all cancer diagnosis. This cancer occurs four times more common in men than in women. Any form of mesothelioma is fatal, with the exception of benign mesothelioma. The prognosis for mesothelioma is almost always poor and most studies report a median survival of less than a year, but the outlook really depends on how early the diagnosis is made and if it aggressively.

Mesothelioma Causes

Mesothelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibrous substance widely used in the twentieth century in a number of different industries. Popular because of its durability, fire resistance and insulating properties, asbestos was used regularly in the manufacture of thousands of products, so far in giving warnings of the dangers in the mid-1970s. It is estimated that approximately 80-90 percent of mesothelioma cases are caused by asbestos exposure.

The exact way as asbestos causes mesothelioma is not well understood, but doctors and researchers have presented many theories. What is clear is that any exposure to asbestos can be dangerous and may result in the development of asbestos-related diseases later in life.

Mesothelioma Types

There are five types of mesothelioma. Four of them are malignant cancers, and a condition is benign.

Pleural Mesothelioma: This type of mesothelioma develops in the tissue of the lungs, known as the pleura. It is the most common form of malignant mesothelioma, about 70 percent of cases are pleural in origin.

Peritoneal Mesothelioma: This form of mesothelioma develops in the tissue of the abdominal cavity, known as the peritoneal membrane. Approximately 25% of mesotheliomas are of this type.

Pericardial mesothelioma: This form of mesothelioma develops in the heart tissue, known as the pericardium. About 5 percent of all mesothelioma cases are pericardial.

Testicular Mesothelioma: This is the rarest type of malignant mesothelioma, to date, there have been fewer than 100 cases recorded. Testicular mesothelioma develops in the tunica vaginalis of the testes.

Benign Mesothelioma: The benign form of mesothelioma often develops in the pleura. This is the only form of mesothelioma which healing and recovery is a likely outcome, although it may be a precursor of asbestos-related problems in the future.

Often occurs hemithorax volume loss affection with ipsilateral mediastinal shift and elevation of the hemidiaphragm. With local progression, it is rare chest wall invasion, although the irregularity of the interface between wall and is not predictive of tumor invasion. Mesothelioma can invade the pericardium, manifested as irregularity and presence of the same stroke, and vascular structures.

Lung metastases manifesting as masses and nodules, rarely becoming miliary morphology. In 40% of the cases there lymph node metastases at the time of autopsy. As discussed in previous chapters, there are two types of asbestos fibers, the “curvilinear” (chrysotile) and “straight” (crocidolite), the latter being primarily involved in tumor pathogenesis are being transported to the periphery of the lung and contact with the pleural surface, while the former remain in the central airways and are eliminated more easily. The latency period between initial exposure and death varies widely, with an average of 48 years.

Numerous epidemiological studies have demonstrated the relationship between exposure to asbestos and mesothelioma as well as its development after the intrapleural instillation or inhalation of asbestos fibers. However, although 80% of patients have a history of exposure to asbestos, only 10% of those exposed developed mesotelioma which suggests the existence of other associated factors among which highlights the role given to the simian virus SV- 40 as a cofactor in the pathogenesis of mesothelioma after checking the expression of viral sequence animales8 models. Some chromosomal abnormalities and deletions of regions 1q, 3p, 9p and 6q chromosome 22 have also been cited in the pathogenesis of mesothelioma.

Antman and col9 and col10 Roviaro and have found no relationship between the existence of prior radiation and presence of calcification postuberculosa, respectively, with cases of mesothelioma. There is no definitive evidence that snuff increases the risk of developing the disease.

Specifically, researchers found that the enzyme myeloperoxidase (MPO), which is found in white blood cells, can break down the material into water and carbon dioxide. The study, published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology, contradicts previous beliefs about the dangers associated with carbon nanotubes may be relevant for the future use of carbon nanotubes for medical purposes.
