Homeopathy for mesothelioma

Homeopathic practitioners believe that a medicine can cure a patient, is capable of causing a similar disease in a person who is healthy. Most homeopaths give as an example the use of a small dose of red onion, which typically causes a runny nose and itchy eyes, to treat a cold, because it carries the same symptoms.

It is very difficult for most people to understand homeopathy, however, the trend toward this type of medicine continues to grow in the U.S. because some patients are confused with some forms of traditional medicine and are seeking more natural ways to treat their afflictions.

In fact, homeopathy uses only natural remedies, specifically, ultra-diluted doses of substances such as plants, minerals, and a variety of other substances found in nature. The original substance is diluted in water several times and shaken vigorously after each dilution. As a result, the patient receives only very small quantities, which makes this type of treatment very safe.

Homeopaths also believe that you should not treat disease, but rather to the person who is ill. In other words, the homeopath believes that the substance he or she provides the patient is not going to destroy a cancerous tumor directly, but allow your body to destroy the tumor.

Homeopathy has been used traditionally to treat chronic problems such as asthma or arthritis, although some cancer centers promote homeopathy as complementary therapy in cancer patients are treated by traditional therapies.

Some advocates of this type of medicine also believe that homeopathic remedies can cure cancer, but there is currently no scientific evidence to support these claims.

Lung Mesothelioma Asbestos

Cancer mesothelioma, which is divided into three according to the area infected by each of these, it is usually caused by inhaling asbestos particles in the workplace. The three types are pleural mesothelioma (the mesothelium surrounding the influence of lung cavities), peritoneal (found in the lining of the abdomen) and pericardial (which attacks the heart chambers). The first attacks the lining of the lungs, also known asbestos lung cancer mesothelioma, affecting the lungs and sinuses caused by asbestos.

The pleural mesothelioma is definitely a life threatening illness. Also possible that the infection spreads to the lungs in length and should be eliminated. While asbestos fibers settle in the pleural lining. That leads to certain harmful chemical reactions resulting from cell division. Pleural effusion and thickening of the layer is simple obstruction of movement of the lungs, causing breathing difficulties. The infection can last for years and decades to reach this advanced stage.

Diagnosing mesothelioma is not easy, especially if the doctor treating the case is not an efficient person. Mesothelioma

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Because Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that can take up to 20 years to develop, attorneys need specific training and experience when running a compensation for their clients. The Mesothelioma lawyers have a specific team of medical professionals who play the files on the health status and documentary evidence to prove the specific correlation between the side effects of apciente and diagnosis of Mesothelioma.

As Mesothelioma lawyers continue to prove the correlation between diseases of customers and pollution caused by asbestos, lawmakers struggle to pass a law to provide sufficient compensation for all victims who work in mining plants and all residents of neighborhoods that were exposed to toxic chemicals.

Mesothelioma Causes and what to do after diagnosis

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Mesothelioma CausesMesothelioma is a rare type of cancer that develops in the mesothelial cells lining various organs and body cavities. The mesotelium (composed of mesothelial cells) is the membrane that lines three body cavities, and depending on the cavity that is lined is assigned a specific name: the thoracic cavity (pleura), abdominal cavity (peritoneum), and bag the heart (pericardium).

The mesothelium that covers the internal organs is called visceral mesothelium, while the coating on the body wall is called the parietal mesothelium. (more…)

ETIOLOGY AND PATHOGENESIS

Exposure to asbestos is the major risk factor for the development of mesothelioma. The first association between asbestos and cancer was established in 1955 in a case-Control study, appearing in 1960 related data that also pleural mesothelioma. As discussed in previous chapters, there are two types of asbestos fibers, the “curvilinear” (chrysotile) and “straight” (crocidolite), the latter being primarily involved in tumor pathogenesis are being transported to the periphery of the lung and contact with the pleural surface, while the former remain in the central airways and are eliminated more easily. The latency period between initial exposure and death varies widely, with an average of 48 years. (more…)

Study Contradicts Carbon Nanotubes and Mesothelioma

Study Contradicts Carbon Nanotubes and MesotheliomaA team of Swedish and U.S. scientists has found that carbon nanotubes, a material that is thought could cause mesothelioma, can be divided into harmless components by an enzyme found in the body.

Specifically, researchers found that the enzyme myeloperoxidase (MPO), which is found in white blood cells, can break down the material into water and carbon dioxide. The study, published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology, contradicts previous beliefs about the dangers associated with carbon nanotubes may be relevant for the future use of carbon nanotubes for medical purposes.
